Joey Marburger is the Director of Product and Design for The Washington Post, recently named the most innovative media company in 2015 by Fast Company and the most innovative publisher by Digiday.
He leads a team of product designers in the newsroom overseeing the development and design of digital products such as washingtonpost.com, Android and iOS apps, and a variety of other platforms.
Most recently Joey and his team designed and developed the highly talked about game Floppy Candidate for iOS and Android.
Before joining The Post in 2010, Joey was a senior developer and designer for Gannett, and prior to that an Online Editor for The Indianapolis Star. Joey studied Digital Communication and Computer Science at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind.
He lives in Northeast D.C. with his wife, Cas, the social media manager for the Truth Initiative Foundation, and their two Labrador retrievers, Walt and Porter.
