Choreographer PARK So Yun is a dancer who is presenting a new direction for Korean modern ballet with her exceptional artistry and refined sensibility. After building a solid foundation of stage experience at the Semperoper Ballett in Dresden, Germany, she is now actively working as a choreographer for the Yoon Byul Ballet Company and as an instructor at the Korea National Institute for Gifted in Arts.
In 2023, at the New Wave Ballet Gala, she showcased Hungarian Rhapsody and Pas de Six from Swan Lake, earning critical acclaim for her delicate emotional expression and dramatic stage composition. Her numerous awards include First Prize and Best Woman Award at the 2014 Rome International Dance Competition, the Choreography Award at the 2018 Busan International Dance Competition, and Top 12 at the 2012 Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP).
Combining the elegance of classical ballet with a contemporary sensibility, PARK So Yun’s works firmly establish her presence as one of the most promising next-generation female choreographers in the Korean ballet scene.
