Former Vice President of the United States

Al Gore started out his political career in 1976 when he was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from Tennessee as a Democrat. By 1985, he was elected to the U.S. Senate and became the 45th Vice President of the United States of America in 1993, with Bill Clinton's inauguration as the 42nd President.

During the Administration, he served as the central member of President Clinton's economic team, President of the Senate, a member of the National Security Council, and as the leader of a wide range of Administration initiatives. He also formulated policy for reducing the cost and size of the federal government and was an advocate for the Internet and for environmental protection.

He is currently a member of the Board of Director at Apple Computers and is a Senior Advisor to Google. Recently he became a Co-Founder of group called INd TV Holdings and established Generation Investment Management, an investment management firm headquartered in London. He is also a Visiting Professor at Middle Tennessee State University, Fisk University in Nashville, and UCLA.
