Yves Gassot
CEO, IDATE Conference
Yves Gassot is managing director of IDATE for 15 years. IDATE is a leading research institute in Europe dedicated to the Telecom-Media-Internet markets.
Yves Gassot has acquired a very large experience and knowledge in these industries, with various studies, researches and publications.
He is member of many scientific, investment or policy-oriented committees including the french Conseil General des Technologies de l’Information, the board of the International Telecommunication Society, the advisory board of Pacific Telecommunication Council and the Strategic Committee of Iris Capital. He is director of the journal Communications & Strategies, editor of the annual report DigiWorld Yearbook and in charge of the scientific organization of the IDATE International Conference.
Recently (2006) he has been chosen to advice the European Commissioner in charge of the Information Society in the context of the Review of the Regulatory framework. He also leaded a report on the FTTx issues for the French Industry Ministry.
Yves Gassot is graduated in architecture (Paris-1975), has a master from Sciences Po (Paris-1977), and followed the Institut Multimedia’s seminars (1988).
