International scholar of philosophy of Creativity & Inventiveness

Dr. Yoshiro Nakamatsu's first invention came at the age of five, even before he entered into elementary school. Since then, he has developed over 3,351 inventions, compared to Thomas Edison's 1,093. He is most famous for inventing the floppy disc & drive in 1947, which he licensed patents to IBM. A few of his many inventions include: HOD, Siphon Pump, Cinemascope, Fax, Karaoke, Digital Watch, Taxi Meter, Automatic Pachinko and Flying Shoes (Pyon Pyon).

Dr. Nakamatsu has received various awards and accolades including receiving the Intn'l Invention Grand Prix Award 35 times and the Best Invention Award from the Minister of Science & Technology of Japan. In 2005, he received the Ig Nobel Prize for photographing every meal he has eaten over the course 35 years.

Dr. Nakamatsu is currently enshrined in the International Hall of Fame of Invention U.S.A. and is the CEO and Founder of the Dr. NakaMats Innovation Institute, President of Dr. NakaMats World University and Chairman of the World Genius Convention and International Invention & Innovation Institute.

"Dr. NakaMats Day" is celebrated in 17 Cities and States in the U.S. and he was also selected by U.S. Science Academic Society as one of the five world's greatest scientists in history who include: Archimedes, Michael Faraday, Marie Curie, Nikola Tesla.

Dr Nakamatsu received his undergraduate degree at the University of Toyko and also has five doctorates in engineering, law, medicine, science, and humanities. He has written over 40 books and has lectured at the University of Tokyo, Harvard, MIT, Columbia, University of Pennsylvania and Syracuse.
