Yun, Ho Jin is a famous Korean play/musical director. Heentered Shilhum Theater in 1970 while he attended Hongik University. He came into the spotlight with directing the play Green Juilia and Island. After he got a master's degree in Theater Arts from Graduate School of Culture and Arts, Dongkook University, hedirected Human's Son which is based on Yi, Mun-yol's novel, Dr. Cook's Garden, Death of Salesman, Homo Serapatus, Wild Bull.
After he made a great hit with directing Agnes of God, he went to New York to study performing arts at Tisch School, New York University and got a master's degree in Performance Studies. After he came back from New York, he directed Death Song and started teaching at Dangook University. In 1992, he founded musical theatrical company Acom and he has directed and produced Guys and Dolls, I'm Gonna be a Star, The Last Empress, Fame, Dooly, Arang, Mamma Mia, La Ronde, Love, and The 39 Steps. The Last Empress has made great hit and it marked a new era in musical history of Korea. Also The Last Empress is the first Korean musical performed in New York and it was performed in London, Los Angeles, and Toronto as well given favorable reviews. The Last Empress is the most successful musical which hasattractedmore than 1 million audiences in Korea.
He is the professor of Theater and Film Department and chair professor of Graduate School of Pop Culture Arts at Dankook University. He is CEO of ACOM International Co. Ltd and President of Korean Musical Association.
