From leaking the corruption report of the former President of Kenya and the Baghdad air-strike video in which Iraqi civilians and journalists were killed to the US State Department's diplomatic cables is WikiLeaks a new digital version of investigative reporting?
Does it increase transparency and enhance democratic discourse while challenging powerful institutions, or is it a hacktivist (hacker+activist) act that is harming democracy?
Marcel Rosenbach, the coauthor of Staatsfeind WikiLeaks <WikiLeaks : Enemy of the State> and a Der Spiegel reporter, will talk about his experience working with Julian Assange and WikiLeaks.
He will also discuss how platforms like WikiLeaks change the media and how the established media outlets changed WikiLeaks.
