With recent advances in ICT (information and communication technology) and the spread of smart devices, the age of "Big Data" has arrived. The world is now waiting to see who will be the first and fastest to locate the needles in this newfound big data haystack.
Against this backdrop, Korea’s particularly explosive proliferation of data may give us especially relevant insights into how we may leverage big data.
We will look into the initiatives regarding and outlook for big data in Korea and explore how the public and private sectors could find a way to collaborate and create shared values.
In short, we ask the question of how, from the sea of big data, we can find the real treasures that will contribute to making a better world.
