The emergence of new media and several recent technologies is offering new business opportunities to the entertainment industry. Even so, entertainment content that attempted to win audiences’ hearts merely by making use of these newfound opportunities has turned out to be not always successful in the market. This tells us that technology cannot be the essence of entertainment. On the other hand, if entertainment and technology converge effectively, it will give us a more compelling experience than we have ever had. We will examine how the convergence of technology and entertainment is happening and what future it will create.
