Min-Hyouk Lee

Vice President Min Hyouk Lee is responsible for Industrial Design and Design Strategy for mobile products across Samsung Electronics.
Mr. Lee was the youngest vice president in Samsung Electronics when he was promoted in 2011, and has led mobile design since 2014. Under his insightful leadership, Mr. Lee constantly puts utmost effort to achieve design innovation with talents from multidisciplinary backgrounds within design team.
He started his career at Samsung Motors in 1996, and joined Samsung Electronics in 2001. Among many successful products, Mr. Lee has overseen design of the Galaxy flagship series, including the E700 and D700 feature phones, also known as the Benz and Blue-black phones, which were sold over 10 million units. One of the most successful designs that have been globally recognized includes the Galaxy S3 series. More recently, his perspective and guidance in establishing a new premium design identity for products like Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S6 have elevated Samsung design to a new level.
Mr. Lee has received over 20 international design awards throughout his career, including recognition from iF, Red Dot, Good Design, and many others. Also, he has received Samsung Award of Honor internally for his contribution in design.
Mr. Lee received a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from Kyung Hee University in Korea.
