Quantum Security Technology for 5G

SK Telecom, the leader of the world's first 3G and 4G technology, is now focusing on the new item called "Quantum Safe Network". It has been well-known that quantum physics can enhance modern security technology. Modern security that is based on the complexity of mathematics - also known as, number crunching- has been threatened by Moore's Law. To overcome this problem, SK Telecom is going to commercialize a quantum cryptography system this year to prevent network eavesdropping and a quantum true random number generator in a silicon chip next year. These technologies will bring modern and future security to a whole new level.
