Seung-Ho Hwang
Executive Vice President, Auto Intelligence Division, Hyundai Motor Group
Dr. Seung Ho Hwang, executive vice president of Auto Intelligence Division and Vehicle IT Development Center in Hyundai Motor Group, leads development on core technologies & strategies in connected car, big data, telematics and infotainment.
Prior to joining Hyundai Motor Group in 2014, he was leading SoC chip development and wireless modem and connectivity business as an executive vice president of Samsung System LSI Business Unit. Before joining Samsung he worked at Silicon Image as an early member where he developed HDMI, the de facto industry standard that are widely used for audio/video link in consumer electronics, which made the start-up a successful company. From 1990, he served 8 years as an associate professor at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.
He received BS degree in Electronics Engineering from Seoul National University, MS degree in Electrical Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, and acquired Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences from University of California, Berkeley.
