Learning Shift : Evolving Transformation in Education

We are seeing the world go through a whirlwind of change and it is technology that is accelerating the process. This whirlwind has affected education where we learn about relationships in general; between individuals, between individuals and the world, and between individuals and machines.
Machine learning has enabled us to predict the future. This has come to mean that we can now prepare for what the future will bring. One public school in Tacoma used machine learning to predict their dropout rate and was able to increase the graduation rate from 55 to 83.
Likewise, the evolution of technology, its advanced interaction is ushering in the evolution of teacher-student relationships. It is sowing seeds of motivation in students to learn and obtain knowledge. Minecraft in Education, Deep learning, HoloLens, AI are all transforming how the new generation learn in classrooms. This will be an exploration of how the relationship between technology and school is evolving.
