PARK Joon holds a distinctive place in Korean literature through his deeply lyrical poetry, which weaves together memory and imagination, and his warm prose, which mourns loss and death. His first poetry collection, I Took Medicine Called You for a Few Days, has gone through 67 printings and sold more than 230,000 copies, affirming the universal resonance of his work.

His second collection, We Could See the Rainy Season Together, received the Park Jae-sam Literary Award and the Pyunwoon Literary Award. It was praised for possessing “something akin to the aesthetic DNA that a century of writing and reading poetry in Korean has imprinted upon us.” He has also received the Shin Dong-yup Literary Award and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s Today’s Young Artist Award. In 2025, shortly after publishing his third collection, Without a Welcome or a Farewell, he received the Yusim Literary Award.

His essay collections include There will not be anything that changes with the cry but, Seasonal Essays, and Regardless of Joy or Sorrow. He previously hosted Beginning the Night with PARK Joon on CBS Music FM. He currently serves as a literary advisor at Changbi Publishers and a member of the Presidential Committee on Library and Information Policy.
