Winner of the 2021 K-Model Award for Modeltainer of the Year

LEE Hyunyi is a model known for her brains as much as her beauty, with an especially enthusiastic following among young Korean women in their twenties and thirties. She studied economics at Korea’s prestigious Ewha Womans University and made her model debut at the 2005 Supermodel Contest of Korea.

Just two years after her Korean debut, Lee made her international debut, walking the runway for designers like Jean Paul Gaultier and Hermes at New York, Paris and London Fashion Weeks. In 2007, Lee was named Rookie of the Year by the Korea Fashion Photographers Association and Model of the Year by Harper’s Bazaar Korea. In 2011, she won the Fashion Model Award at the Asia Model Awards, solidifying her position as a top model.

With her smart image and model’s physique, she has frequently featured in fashion magazines, and since earning wider name recognition, she has appeared on as well as hosted a range of entertainment and educational TV programs. She has also been on the radio and featured in web content, and in 2020 she ventured into acting as a cast member of JTBC TV sitcom “Hanging On.” One of Korea’s top “model-tainers” (model and entertainer), she continues to build on her wide-ranging career.
