PARK Buhm Soon studied chemistry as an undergraduate and completed his graduate studies in science history. He is currently a researcher at KAIST, where he has focused his research on a historical methodological approach to the problems of social policy, and is deeply interested in the sociocultural phenomenon of the emergence of a new academic field between existing fields of study. He himself is involved in efforts to promote the confluence of varying academic disciplines and recently established the KAIST Center for Anthropocene Studies, where researchers are working to move away from a human-centered understanding of global crises towards an approach that integrates considerations of nature and culture, rather than isolating one from the other.
